Emmanouil Soultatos was born in a traditional mountain village in Crete. When he was five years old his family moved to Heraklion, where they run a butcher’s shop.

There, at his family business and at a very young age, he started observing his parent’s work and was fascinated by the musculoskeletal and muscular systems of the animals. After this first contact with anatomy, he felt the need to expand his studies to the human neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.

One day Emmanouil had an accident with his bike and injured his hand. The pain wouldn’t stop so he mustered his courage and began to apply gentle massage to the painful area. To his surprise, the treatment caused the pain to fade away until it finally stopped altogether. 

This event inspired him to start searching for knowledge and activities massage therapy in early age. After helping people around him with great success, they began attributing special healing skills to his hands and his way of using them to treat health issues.

After school, Emmanouil studied the basics of anatomy and physiology at the Academy of Ancient Greek and Traditional Chinese Medicine and at the College of Humanities and Alternative Therapy, where he became certified for the Neuromuscular Massage of Physical Health Sciences.

Since 2000, he has been attending various kinds of seminars and courses for alternative healing methods and forms of therapy. Moreover, he has attended multiple training classes and workshops where he mastered alternative healing techniques and treatments with a psychosomatic approach.

Emmanouil has worked intensively on the subjects of detoxification, combinations  nutrition, herbalism, fitness exercises such as yoga, pilates, relaxation practices and meditation. He has explored and mastered the impact of spirituality and the power of aromatherapy on mental and physical wellbeing.

Since 2012 he has been practicing as a masseur and perfecting his unique treatment method known as Anasa Iasis.
